Additional Documents (Based on Your Travel Purpose & Occupation)

For Employed

• Employment offer/contract
• Introduction letter: Original letter must be on the employer letterhead from the employer/company
  • The letter has to be signed and stamped by HR or directorate mentioning your position and the duration of your service.
  • “No objection statement” regarding the planned trip
  • The dates and purpose of the trip
• Last 3 months salary slips or Salary certificate.
• Latest salary account statement for 3 months attested by bank

For Business Owners

• Introduction letter: Original letter must be on the employer letterhead from the employer/company
  • The letter has to be signed and stamped by HR or directorate mentioning your position and the duration of your service.
  • “No objection statement” regarding the planned trip
  • The dates and purpose of the trip
• Company registration documents: COI, GST, Partnership deed, IEC
• Salary slips for last 3 months/Salary certificate
• Company latest bank account statement for last 6 months attested by bank
• Company ITR for last 2 years

For Professionals (Lawyers, Chartered accountants, Doctors in self-practise)

• Bar council registration/registration with ICAI/Registration with MCI
• Letter on professional letter head
• Registration documents of the entity if registered
• Degree copy

For Homemakers dependent/dependent children

• Letter of sponsorship
• Occupation document of the sponsor
• Sponsors Bank statements for latest 6 months attested by bank, copies of FD attested by bank
• Latest 2 years income tax returns
• Copy of passport/ID card of the sponsor
• Proof of relationship

For Students

• Birth certificate
• School/college bonafide letter confirming the admission and leave approval
• School/college ID card copy
• Letter of sponsorship
• Occupation document of the sponsor
• Sponsors Bank statements for last 6 months attested by bank
• Latest 2 years income tax returns
• Copy of passport of the sponsor (both parents)
• If the parent(s) are not traveling along Original Notarised NOC from non-traveling parent(s)
• Proof of relationship (parent’s passport copies)
• For applicants under 18 applying alone or without both parents/legal guardians:
  • Application form signed by both parents/legal guardians.
  • Notarized authorization letter signed by both.
  • Self-attested passport copies of both parents/legal guardians.

For Farmers/Agriculturist

• Land ownership documents valuated (should be in English)
• J form copies

For Off-Shore employment

• Valid Off-Shore employment contract copy
  • Introduction letter: Original letter must be on the employer letterhead from the employer/company. NOC.
  • The letter has to be signed and stamped by HR or directorate mentioning your position and the duration of your service.
  • No objection statement” regarding the planned trip
  • The dates and purpose of the trip
• Latest 3 months’ salary slips/invoices

For Retired

• Pension payment order
• latest 3 months pension slips
• latest 6 months Pension account bank statement attested by bank

Notes:

1. The information for Visa application form is mandatory as per the attached sheet.
2. Visa application form and appointment created using the applicant’s personal email ID.
3. Submission: In person through a BLS VAC with prior appointment.
4. Application period: 6 months to 15 days before travel; seafarers up to 9 months.
5. Biometrics: Photo and fingerprints required; fingerprints exempt for under 12s or if taken within the last 59 months, subject to quality.
6. Additional documents: The Consulate may request missing/additional documents or an interview.
7. Decision: Normally 15 calendar days, extendable up to 45 days.
8. Passport return: The Consulate/VAC will inform the applicant about collection/return.
9. Entry: A visa does not guarantee Schengen entry; all entry requirements must be met.
