- Kenya, located in East Africa, is a country renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage. Bordered by the Indian Ocean to the southeast, it shares its borders with Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Somalia. Nairobi, the capital city, is a vibrant hub that blends modernity with traditional African charm.
- One of Kenya’s greatest attractions is its wildlife. The country is home to the “Big Five” — lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos — and boasts world-famous national parks and reserves like the Maasai Mara, Amboseli, and Tsavo. Every year, the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras across the Mara River draws nature lovers from around the globe.
- Kenya is also a land of great cultural diversity, with over 40 ethnic groups including the Maasai, Kikuyu, and Luo, each with their own unique traditions, music, and attire. English and Swahili are the official languages, reflecting the country’s colonial history and African roots.
- Tourism, agriculture, and services form the backbone of Kenya’s economy. From the snow-capped Mount Kenya to the white sandy beaches of Mombasa, Kenya offers travelers a mix of adventure, relaxation, and cultural exploration. It is truly a jewel of the African continent.
